A grade school chum. I was always friends with Larry. Went to his house a few times back then.

He was lucky to survive a bazoka shell blast that killed another friend. They were out shooting rabbits at Camp Williams where they found a live shell, but didn't know it. When it exploded a piece of schrapmel hit his face taking out part of his jaw, mouth, and cheek.

One of my dearest friends through public school. My heart was broken with the bazooka incident that took another good friends life. Larry always stayed optimistic the many times I saw him through out the years. He was a choice spirit.

I knew Larry even before our family moved to Salt Lake from Idaho Falls.  He lived only a block from my grandparents house so he was probably one of my very first Salt Lake friends. It was comforting that when we finally moved to Salt Lake I already had a friend here to show me the ropes.  Larry was friendly and unpretentious, and always had a smile or a good laugh up his sleeve, even after his accident.

A true freind to all, a real go to guy when help was needed. A freind from 3rd grade a team mate, and a neighbor, just 1/2 block away from my house on Indiana Ave. and THE PARK. A great man has past !
