Chuck left so quickly we didn't get a chance to say "goodby".  He was there, and then he was gone.  It was some horrible Brain misfunction that took him quickly.  That was a blessing.  Chuck didn't have kids of his own,  but at the funeral his Step-son paid a great tribute to him.  He made a conscious decision to,  call Chuck "DAD", because he earned the name.  Also, a bit before his death, a grandson was born to carry on the MacKenzie name.  Chuck always had fun ideas for things to do while we were at West.  He introduced a bunch of us to the strange world under the city in the storm drains.  He let me and some other girls come along and crawl through the Sage Brush and dirt to "burn the W" , our Jr. year, and we successfully avoided the police and fire department.  We kept in touch through the years and I saw him just a couple of months before his death.  His family will miss him very much, and so will I.

Chuck was a lot of fun in high school, but I got to know him much better while being pampered at his Cory's

Kitchen restaurant for over 20 years.  Great food and a very cool owner.  I lived across the street from him for

a while and will miss him a lot.

I always liked Chuck and was said to learn of his passing.
