I'll never forget showing up for Jr. High School p.e. class in 7th grade seeing this huge guy (around 5' 10") with hairy legs. I think he could have shaved already. Quite scary to a wimpy 5' 2" 12 year old like me.
Over the years we played on school football and basketball teams together and became good friends.
I saw him may times in different places over the years. He always had a big smile a story to tell.
We grew up with Fred all our lives till High School then it seems being with people we grew up with was no longer, Played baseball (little League) at Jordan Park with him and friends that are still friends. Don't know when he passed away and just found out this year that he had passed away. Just wondering if he married Becky Beckstead who I loved dearly as a friend. Fred was always a tall person and I was short but we always did run around together when we were young. Fred R.I.P. you are missed
